They first met at the Audubon in Boston in July 2002 at an informal gathering of co-workers from Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Both felt they were the life of the party so inevitably Trupti and James became friends.
They soon found themselves in office cubicles right next to each other laughing the day away while, of course, still proudly getting all their work done. After five years of working side by side they finally decided to attend a Metallica concert together. There they discovered that love could flourish amongst the thrashing of guitars and pounding of the drums.
Henceforth, Trupti and James celebrated their love of music, and each other, at subsequent rock festivals spanning the tri-state area including Mayhem and Crüe Fests. Despite his appreciation for hard core rock, James needed a lovely and serene place to take the love of his life. He convinced Trupti to attend the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee.
Bonnaroo was in fact their first trip together as a couple. Colin Hay singing, ‘I'm waiting for my real life to begin,’ proved to be James’s most poignant moment while Trupti fondly remembers Alice Cooper decapitating a Lady Gaga puppet. Nevertheless, the couple found time in their travels to appreciate the greatness
of their compatibility and love for one another.
Trupti and James were engaged on December 8, 2012 at Deuxave in Boston.
After champagne and caviar, James could no longer bear the weight of the ring in his pocket so he got down on one knee, and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. The uncharacteristic tears streaming down Trupti’s face along with the encouragement of a fellow diner who yelled, “Nicely done!” provided James with his answer. The restaurant burst into applause and the couple finished their dinner by the fire excited to begin their lives together.
